$3.75 Ouch...just had to drive 140 miles (round trip) to take cigarettes to my Mother-in-law...

Pete in MI

The $20 I had only got us 5.335 gallons of gas...not even half a tank...I was breathing fumes just to get to the gas station only to find the price jumped from $3.58 to $3.75 just before I got there.

It's a terrible situation, Pete..

Hank just siphoned off some gasoline from his old junk car to put into his newer junk car...neither runs very well, but one of them at least can get us out of the driveway:lol:

someone did that to my moms car. and i was reading the police logs in the paper where people have had gas siphoned out of thier cars. price here is 3.95 i think. its either eat or have gas in the cars right now. for us anyways. get more into the bigger areas and its passed 4 for reg.

I feel your pain!!!

Sorry about the situation on the gas prices! Had to take Cliff to the dr after taking a week of anti-biotics and predisone and the gas price at most stations is $3.59.9 and diesel is $4.09.9! So with oil now at $120 a barrel, we'll see even higher prices than that! Said it would be $4.00 a gal by Memorial Day! Everything will go up and is said people are hoarding high prices foods now, so they will have it when the prices get even higher! Is it heading for the last days as we've known it? I think so! So, save those who will be saved and come quickly, Lord Jesus! Praise God and Thank You, Jesus, that we Christians have you to lean on to hold us above the trying floods of mortal life!

God Bless!

We drove up to Plainwell for my son's double header baseball game, and seen it had jumped to as high as $3.78 everywhere! My wife went to get some food for Kody and seen it for $3.57 so she got in the long line and filled up.

there was no way another car could get into line without causing an auto accident...every place else had jumped to $3.75. Had hoped maybe it was still cheaper nearer to home. They just raised the price before I got to Houghton Lake

I will have to get the motorcycle running, whether Sherry is comfortable or not, so I can get to the church to do clean up there each week. (Would do it right after service on Sunday but they keep scheduling Casey to work right after church and we can't afford several trips back and forth on Sunday. Praise team practice is tonight so maybe get the family together and get there early enough to clean before practice and other meetings start....have to combine trips!

got home and the meat hadn't thawed...by 8:30 PM just settled for popcorn.

all of our public transit systems are full. light rail and busses are all standing room only and way over crowded due to gas prices..people are even going to the homeless shelters for meals who arent homeless. they are just trying to make thier dollar stretch i guess.

or keep the piano and give up smoking....She doesn't want to give up either....is like $49 for a carton of cigarettes alone.
