3 little indians

today I took the XLT out again 4 days later to find the other part of the ww2 German gardner pin, 1st hunt I found the back didnt know what the heck it was until I did a google search and realized something was missing, it was the eagle I knew it would be a longshot but after 30m minutes it has been found I kept searching for more and came upon my first ever not 1 but 3 indian pennies all stuck together, the top coin shows the date of 1891 and the bottom coin shows the reverse so I am faced with the decision of leaving them together or breaking them apart to see the dates, it is a tough decision,

That sounds like a great present just waiting to be opened up. I would go for it but then again I've never found an IH penny so...

Great little pocket spill........I'd just leave them stuck together, unless you suspect that one of them is a 1877, 1908S or 1909S. Just trying to make it easy on you.

I don't know about yours but most coins I see stuck together were in nice shape inside cause being stuck together protected the coins inside from the ground minerals .

Good thinking Harold. I've found that to be the case also. That would mean whatever date the center coin is it could be in very good shape. I wouldn't be able to resist myself...

thanks hombre for the 1877 1908s and 1909s comment, that is what is making it real hard, all I know is the top coin is 1891 with a full liberty in the head dress cleaned would be a strong xf au and the bottom coin showing the reverse is the same detail. I have come to conclude that I am going to take several pictures of the find and enter it in my december metal detecter club meeting for find of the month and then take them apart afterwards unless I am talked out of it.
