Hi all

I was very lucky to find thise three gold rings during a three hours hunt yesterday.

They are all 18K

I use the Q on clean beaches, and I am very satisfied of its peformances.

very nice finds nick, thats the place to be with the quattro, it's the only place i can enjoy it. I think so ca. is a bit too trashy for this machine. but damn.... 3 18 k rings in one day, you sure were in the the right beach at the right time lol. congrats on the finds were they at any depth? wet or dry? new beach or just new spot on old beach? cmon give up a little info. tc

P.S. nick i realized that i said something negative about the Q on my last post & I know from reading your other posts that you wont have any of that lol. but I have tried everything on some areas where i am. mostly at empty lots where houses have been, nothing really old here in long beach ca. but some early 1900s. but these lots are impossible with the Q at any settings, it mostly just nulls out and if the settings get so low as to where i can get some response it is usually too shallow to make it worth the effort. as I stated in a previous post, i can actually toss a quarter on the ground in trashy areas and have to go over it 2-3 times to get a hit. hell maybe it's just my machine. or the grounds i'm working on. but... I have never had anything bad to say about the Q on the beach. deep & sensitive.

Hi diggetdawg.

It is true that the Q is a slow "recoverer", and it is certainly difficult to use in iron infested areas. As I wrote in another thread, one solution is to lower the sens, but even then, you still miss the good stuff.

The Q is an absolute top on the wet sand beaches here (Belgium) because they are rather clean. I get 12 to 14" on large coins and rings.

The wedding band here above read 15 on the display and was only 3" deep.

The two other rings read both 12 and were 8/9+ inches deep.
