4" coil as pinpointer

I'm surprised I haven't read this idea in a forum.
If I'm off on my pinpointing with my 11" DD coil, or I get no signal with my Centech, I switch to the 4" coil and use it hand held. This works great on a target I'm having trouble finding.
If you try this idea make sure you're not wearing a ring on the hand you use.

Somone did this a while back on their F4 and had both coils attached to the F4 at the same time.
