I bought a 9 in coil from a guy when I got my Deus and hr told to try 4 kh to check for iron so I have to deep relic programs back to back and when I hit a supiscious target I toggle over to 4 kh program and see iif tone drops if it does I dig if it stays the same its usallally iron anyone else ever tried this? Ive dug some of the targets and its been correct so far. I showed this to buddy who just got his new deus and we tried it on a good target switch to 4 kh and the tone dropped pretty as you please and it was a vermont copper I know this probaly wont work as well in heavy iron or trash where you get blending but seems to work good to me. I know the wiggle method too and when you get to the edge it will give the iron buzz. any thoughts?

Check my post on this page from a while back: http://www.findmall.com/read.php?83,2203593,page=1

Well,,IMO in sites loaded with iron,,and a person is squeezing out nonferrous finds-- I won't use.
I could,be fooled doing so,,,I trust the audio.

Now sometimes I do dig some iron,,who doesn't????

If someone says they don't,, they are not pushing either their luck or their detector's capabilities.

I dont use it in thick iron really I more talking about big iron away from the nail beds that gives a good signal / usally deep iron that sounds decent. in the thick stuff if it gives a non ferrous tone its coming out of the ground! lol

I do like beepsilver said but when digging thick iron I just dig the tones and dont worry about checking and I dont check every target either just the suspect ones.
