General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

Advertisements not adhering to the above rules will be deleted without warning or notification.

4 x6 coil vs 6x10

I have a nice clean 6x10 and scuff. I know the the MXT was actually designed around the coil.

I hunt urban high trash a lot. I use the 5.3 mostly.

I think the 4x6 would be better in my environment. My guru has gone to smaller coils on brand X, and the results are great. Smaller is better for us. Big open coils and brush stubble don't mix either. We hunt dense brush too.

Does anyone want to trade a 4x6 for a 6x10? Its clean with a scuff cover.

You are already using the best coil the eclipse 5.3 I hunt a lot of iron infested ghost towns and prefer the 5.3 over the 4x6 If I have to have a smaller coil then i would recommend the 5" Excelerator coil. This little coil does a very fine job in trash. http://www.kellycodetectors.com/products/search-coils/134-5W/5
 
hey Greg-- yea i know the 5.3 is great. still want a smaller DD coil. i have the stock 950 for large area. i know the MXT was built around the 6x10 coil. a friend uses a Whites and we can swap coils with each other and niether of us have the 4x6 or the 5 " either so for Either i would swap the 6x10. have access to other 6x10s so that would give us more variety on a shared budget so to speak. i know the 6x10 costs more.
