5 inch coil

I just got the 5 inch coil for the F-70/75 detector. What settings do you use in 70 phase ground and one bar of mineralization. How deep does it seem to detect to. Thanks in advance.

I'm heading for a sidewalk tearout and sure could use that little coil! Our ground moisture is just perfect right now for going after deep targets, I do smell gold this weekend for some reason, pennys and pulltabs will be priority. Let us know how it works for you. HH:detecting:

. The question is ( What is the best setting for my detector ??? with this coil or that type of ground???) ***:)The real answer to this question is the specific ground condition in your area at the time of your hunt will determine the best setting for your detector. The general rule of thumb is to set the level of discrimination or all metal mode based on how you want to hunt, then set the sensitivity as high as you can while still maintaining detector stability along with a good stable ground balance and your good to go with a VLF detector. If there is a lot of trash, iron or hot rocks and it's reaping havoc on the detector back the sensitivity down a little and re ground balance, repeat as needed to get stability. This information will allow you to get the best or proper settings for your detector based on the type of ground your hunting in at the time.( NOTE This applies to what ever coil you choose to use when adjusting the detector for max performace)

So the best setting for one area may be different in another and different even a little between two of the same kind detectors in the same area being hunted.
