From the land of the Bluenose.....well it was back to school today....umpire school that is and a grand time it was especially when Mike brought in the pizzas. Not much in the holy book with rule changes but bats are another thing altogether!
After four hours of lectures and case studies we where "Outta there" whereas I decided that I'd go back to school again but armed not with the rule book but the trusty old Garrett and hunting knife. Twenty minutes later I was sharing a school sports field with a flock of Canada Geese who were looking for something other then coins. Usual penny parade till I did around one of the soccer nets and out popped a nice cross. Rest of the dig was uneventul and i soon had my 50 coins....or so I thought till I counted my finds and found I was one coin short of 50. Back in the trunk, out comes the Garrett and knife and a few minutes later I captured coin number 50 which totalled a mere $1.16.
