I finally tried the 525, setting at a old park that I go to all the time. I found only one coin,but it was a 1897 barber dime!,in about very fine condition. I am going my keep my coinstike on this setting. Thanks Bill!
 
I usually make all kinds of adjustments depening on the site, but I have a couple of friends who never move their C$ off that "525" setting. Good all-around, stable place to keep it & pretty good in trash.
 
It was about 4 inches deep,under mud and leaves in the woods.
