Any help on setting up this detector for max depth with the 15 inch coil...I will be looking for a large object about 4 to 6 foot down.

VW Bus and semi, or are you talking a Piper Cub to Boeing 747 size?

Everyone's opinion of what a "large object" is will vary, but you're asking a lot for the 5900 Di Pro SL w/15" coil. Do an "air test" on your car or pick-up truck, whatever you have, and also check out the "air test" results with a metal garbage can or 50 gal. oil drum.

The object would be about a foot square and maybe at a depth of 4 foot max.

I have one/w 15" coil and I'll be happy to make that test for you. My soil is moderately mineralized and should have no trouble @ 3-4' . Your dirt might be a different story. The 15" is a concentric coil, not a DD but generally handles most minerals quite well. I'll report back as soon as I can. Tomorrow or Monday at the latest.

I tested the 5900 on a 9X11" Hoffman box steel cover @ 3 feet. You must be sure of your ground balance and I do not recommemd running in GEB/SAT! The 5900 is pretty easy to setup and GB with a stacked pot and a front end control for difficult soil. Ear phones are a must! I did use the 9.5" coil and was just able to hear a change over the target. The 15" gave a very clear and fairly loud tone and meter deflection about 1/3 to 1/2
scale. A 4' deep target is possible, but you better practice and know your detector. Don't know what you're looking for but 4' is not normal for most treasures, even or especially outlaw loot. Mom and pop stashes are normally 12 to 18" at most. They wanted to access their $$$ fast and simple, same for robbers.
There are some after market devices available that will enhance your detectors ability to go deeper, but this forum is not the place for that discussion.
Send me a pm if you need more advice on the 5900 or the other devices.
