5x10 Tek coil or NEL Sharpshooter?

I'm looking for a coil between the stock and the 5". I'm also wanting to prospect. I know the 5x10 will do the job but would the NEL? The Teknetics coil is pricey! The main duty will be in trashy homesites and freshwater beaches. I had a terrible time with the stock coil at an old farmhouse recently, and although the 5" was great, it's just so small... Thoughts?
 
I have never used the 5x10 Tek coil but i certainly have used the NEL Sharpshooter,i think its one one of my favourite's of all time,it ticks all the boxes that i require from a coil and just in my opinion makes a winning combination.The tones sound much better and pinpointing is spot on,sensitive to small targets and target separation is one of its biggest advantages.
 
the sharpshooter is much better quality built coil. A little better with EMI and depth than the Tek. It's deep enough to replace the 11"dd and small enough to replace the 5"dd. It's like a perfect DD companion to the 10" elliptical concentric. I just swaped by 5" for a sharpshooter and my 11" for a hunter. Little better depth, coverage, and less EMI vs the 5/11" setup I had before. My 10" elliptical stays on the Euro Pro most of the time for scouting and bottle caps.

the best coils for your Teknetics are those made by Teknetics !

All the other mfgs will not perform as well, Omega, T2, & G2 were built around the 11" Bi axial coil for a reason

Dont waste money on these off brands, and more importantly don't disrespect Dave J.

Who is disrespecting Dave J ? I have high regards for him, but sometimes aftermarket items fill a void, if they are good quality and so far the reports have been very good on the NEL Sharp Shooter.

As you can see by my profile I'm not 100% brand loyal.

The Omega and the F5's stock coils were the 5"x 10" Concentric coil not the 11" Bi axial, that coil was optional, or as part of a multiple coil package.

We all respect Dave, but the NEL coils are much higher build quality and far cheaper. some even perform better!

the sharpshooter is about 1/2" shorter and 1/4" wider than the stock concentric 10x5 coil. It's very nice, but I love the stock one as well...especially on the Eurotek Pro.

I actually got one barely used from another forum member. This coil rocks! I've pretty much decided its not coming off. No disrespect to anybody-especially not Dave, but I run non factory wheels on my truck, different exhaust, tune it differently and other things to suit me. I also put my AT on a straight shaft and run Gray Ghost phones. My hiking boots sport paracord laces and come to think of it...almost everything I own has been modded or tweaked in some way!I guess I just hate everybody! Lol.. :detecting:
 
Put a Sharpshooter on MY ETP tonight going tomorrow to see how I do with it and are you sure You don't have my AT Pro LOL I just don't Have My Grey Ghosts in the Pic but they do work well together
 
Good lookin AT! I made my straight shaft so it's not quite as nice as that one. I also need a little stand like you have! For the T2 as well..

Chuck at indian nations detectors sells them they are nice
