I took the 70 for a run on the weekend and headed to an area I have been to before using the Elliptical DD coil with success on gold, but this time I wanted to see how the 6" DD went on similar ground. You know the 6" DD 18.75kHz coil is so sensitive on the same ground I had to wind the dial back to 18 at times on the sensitivity which I never did with the elliptical. I did crank it up to 23 most of the time and even at 26 but was a little too chattery at that level. I did pick up more hot rocks then I normally do with the elliptical but I must say shes a real little gem when getting into small tight spots and shes definitely a tough coil. I'm not too sure about this little beast yet as I need more practice but more time is needed for me to really give her a fair go. I didn't last long, about 3 hours in the heat and I'd had enough. I didn't find any species on this outing but as usual enjoyed myself greatly. My girl came with me which was a blast as she doesn't really get into the hobby but just having her there made my day, even if she did sit in the car for 2 out of the 3 hours LOL. I did spot a few roo's but no snakes this time which is always good.
Cheers!
