I went and tried a friends parents house that was built in 1906 and found a few coins. I detected it a bit about 2 years ago but I didn't do much of the yard at that time. I found a few Wheats there back then and I thought I would give it another try. I found 6 more keepers but I didn't get any silver this time. I was only out for a short time so I might have to go back and try it with a smaller coil. There is a lot of iron in the ground for some reason and I know I walked over coins so I will try the Joey Coil next time. I found a V-Nickel dated 1901 and it was only about 3 inches in the ground. It was under a big tree so I think this is the reason for it being so shallow. I also dug 5 Wheats dated 1918-d,1937-d,1941-d,1944, and 1944-d. I also found an old pin that use to have a ribbon on it and it said PRESIDENT on the front of it. Also dug and old Cuff Link and an old Thimble as well. I let the home owner keep them and he let me keep the old coins. I also dug 27 new pennies and 1 new dime which I give the home owner as well.
