6x10DD coil and Mxt Edge coming next week :super: How was your first impression with this coil?

that's right, both things coming next week :)

I'm very curious to know how was your experience when you switched the stock coil for the 6x10DD, I have made some finds with the 9.5 coil but I feel that the good stuff is masked by some iron on my ground, sometime is difficult to swing the coil without getting three iron signals and the common iffy sound

I have a very trashy park that I hunt often. My first hunt with the MXT was a disaster using the 9.5 coil as there was just too much trash under the coil nearly all the time. I switched to the 4X6 for that hunt and it worked very well. THEN I ordered the 6X10 as I had read so many posts in favor of it. The first time I took it to the same park I quickly discovered that it was quite usable in the same areas that I had trouble with the 9.5 and a tad lighter to swing. Not quite as good in the trash as the small coils, but good enough that I hunt with it most of the time. I think you'll really like it once you give a good try.

I'm planning to use it as the main coil as many people does, I see that the pinpoint will be diferent :detecting:

Awesome coil. My first impression was very good. My first hunt with it I found a heavy silver ring and my first gold ring. Pinpointing is reallyy no problem and with a little practice you'll be able to read it very well.

Im planning to buy a SEF for the deeper targets next, Im waiting to test the 6x10DD's target separation :)

My primary coil and the best for nugget shooting.....

I guess that for jewelry it must be a killer too, what do you think?

The 6x10 was the first coil I had & I found everything from gold rings to ear rings. Coins are not a problem & it does work well in the trash, however when hunting old mining camps the 4x6 is awesome. I have pulled out 12 wheat's & a 1906 dime from a old trash dump with this coil. My next coil will be one that goes deeper than the 6x10 if I can find one.

some people likes the 10'' excellerator as a stock coil, take a look at that one. I was between that 10'' and the 6x10DD, but I preferred to go with the last one for medium trashy areas, there is little info about the 10'' coil compared to the 6x10.
my next one will be a SEF

The 6x10 is a great coil that does good where there are a lot of targets close together. I would say that it was about the same depth as the stock coil, but much better target separation, and with the 6x10 on, I can run the sensitivity above 10. I found many great items with the 6x10, but last year decided I wanted more depth while still having a DD design for target separation. I got the 10" Excelerator DD about a year ago, and haven't taken it off since, a great overall coil that you might want to consider.Between 6x10 and the 10" excelerator, its excelerator for me hands down! Hope this helps, and this is just my 2 cents. HH and good luck.

how good is the sensitivity of the 10'' excellerator compared to the 6x10DD on jewelry?, Im asking because I was between both and decided to go for the last one :nerd:

I have no problem finding very small items with the 10"dd. I dont think you can go wrong with either coil, but for me, its 10" Excelerator.
