705 depth meter

At one point yesterday I noticed my depth meter pegged with every signal. I tried shutting it off to reset it but when I turned it back on it was the same.
I dont think it affected my search but it does have me wondering a bit. Any suggestions?
I have been trying to use the meter more but in all honesty, our finds are rarely more than 4" deep.

Have you tried a factory reset? That often straightens out "glitches".

No, not yet OLH. That was going to be the next step. Just wondering if anyone had run into this.

I haven’t had that to happen as far as I know.

Hi Bill!

Please tell me what coil you use, with regards your comment on typical depth of finds

Regarding depth-meter 'pegging;

Was it sticking at MAX depth indication level?...Did you recover any related targets, and at what depth.........matt.
