Hi to all, iam new to detecting and my 705. I have found a lot of clad thus far but no silver. Iam only doing good in setting 2 coin mode. I dont know if it is something that I am doing or its just the sight. Would like to learn some new settings if someone would like to share their knowledge. Thanks all

Welcome!

Invite you to check out the FAQFAQ pinned thread at the top of the forum page. You will find links there that will lead you to enlightenment.
Start with Randy's FREE e-book, "Understanding Your Xterra". Downloading it is the single best thing that you can do to learn your machine. It's easy to read, and an invaluable resource.

Thank you for your help. I will let you know where that leads me. There is so much to learn but I am totally addicted to the hobby. Thanks again

You are entirely welcome.
Any questions that you have after reading the book we will be happy to answer, but Randy's book is the place to start.

What part of the world do you call home? What sort of things do you hunt for with your detector? Tell us more.

Thanks for the welcome all, I live in Washington state by a little town of prosser on the east side. I farm for a living. I enjoy hunting fishing and metal detecting. I am just starting to get the hang of detecting. I really like going to old parks and homesteads as I have a few of them around me. I have never seen another detector out where I live. I wish there was someone to hang out with enjoy the hobby and learn from. I have had a few good finds like old toys a couple of rings of not much value, but still very cool. And token from gem saloon, nampa Idaho. Also a chunky cheese token. And clad but no silver yet. Happy detecting.

Its too bad you're 170 miles away, not very convenient for getting together. If I ever have reason to visit family in Yakima I'll get hold of you for a little coin shooting.
