80 year old rodeo grounds

kickback

New member
I got permission to hunt an 80 yr old rodeo grounds. It was built on a 100+ year old homestead site.I found $1.20 in clad and a 1955-d wheatie. No one has supposed to have ever detected it.Not so.I found fresh plugs were they had recently moved the bleachers.I have never hunted such a trashy place before. The ground is littered with pulltabs and crown bottlecaps. It was a nice evening,no bugs, cool and the dirt was soft and wet.

There's probably a few there the others missed. Scan slow and cover as much area as you can with each scan. Which tector and coil are you using?

I used the 2500 and the F75 for awhile. The 2500 did way better. It handles the mineralization and heavy trash way better.Bill

Use a sniper coil.
