90 degrees and 5 hour hunt #59

I was sweating a lot. I hope I lost 20 pounds? That would be good. I am too tired to get on the scale. First I will have to have a quart of ice cream, a piece of pie and at least a couple of candy bars. Just to get enough energy to make it to my recliner.
Thought I had some gold almost right off the bat. Picked up the earring about 10 minutes into the hunt. It turned out to be 925 10K plated. A dollar coin, 1964 nickel. Also showed the junk I picked up. F70 settings: Sens@60, Disc@10, Thresh@-3, Tones@4H using 6.5" coil.

Dang, thats a haul. Well over 100 coins it appears. 5 hours and all that digging, I would probably need oxygen....or a jar of our Tn sippin stuff. LOL Z, we've had a wonderful week temp wise and getting some much need rain. We'll have some good digging ground for a few days. Nice hunt! HH jim tn

Wow zeeks that's a sweep alright:thumbup:.....hh rick in mi.

Oh, yes Jim I remember that nice smooth sipping stuff from Tn. I thought it tasted like jet fuel. At least I think that is what jet fuel should taste like? When I got home I really had to rest. I can't remember when the last time I have had a 141 coins in one day. It was just like sprinkling when I was out there for the first 20 minutes and then the rain stopped. The rain felt good after all days of dry hot weather. We still could use a lot more rain.
Rick thanks for encouragement......HH .....Z

Nice! :clapping: Hitting a good target right off the bat seems to keep the adrenaline up and make a fellow do more than he might not otherwise. That is an awesome day for anyone at anytime. Good work and inspirational post!

You need to hire someone to haul around you finds pouch. GREAT job. cch

It was a real surprise. Some times the F70 would go crazy. I would dig a 67 signal and come up with a quarter. Then use the probe and hit another coin and another coin. Some holes, near and around, 5 coins or more would be waiting for me to dig them up. This happened a number of times. Those are the crazy days that come up once and awhile. I would use the Garrett pin pointer as my detector and dig up all these near the hole coins. The Garrett only goes about 2" so it was just a joy popping the coins up. Some days it pays to get up early......Thanks guys .....Z

Thanks Rob O. It's almost the first time that anyone has called me an inspiration. Mostly I am called a pain in the dupa!!! or that cantankerous old fart.... Thanks.....Z

Oh my land! You keep that up you might as well
start bringing the paper coin rollers along to your hunts.

Head right over to the bank and cash in.

You must be taking some of those good informerical
vitamins to keep going that long!

That is fine with me Larry I enjoy the change. Jim I wish you would tell my wife that because she thinks I am a fool all the time. :clapping: Thanks guys ....Z

Boy Z you are just tearing those coins up. Not a bad haul between #59 and #60.

And if you are like me you'll take silver in whatever form it presents itself in, even if someone wants to rub a little gold on it to boot :D

Be careful with that heat guys, dealt with 106 +/- all day and didnt even try to hunt after work. Just took it out of me. So keep hydrated and good luck at it.
