916 ring

Found 1" deep in salty sand on all metals mode, 5" coil. Was surrounded by all kinds of trash metal. 3.8 grams of 22k Au :detecting:

any number other tha karet is usually the value in decimal form no , though 22/24= .916666666 so they just stamp 916
nice find...Hoping I can get out to hunt soon and find some gold....I'm due......

i got to say i like the gold in its natural colour have no idea why people make gold "white" makes no sense to me but gold is gold what ever the colour so well done its sure a nice one :clapping:

White gold is a poor man's platinum....

Yes Jim...white gold is often chosen as a more economical form of platinum...and I believe a lot of white gold is plated with Rhodium, a member of the Platinum family. Plated or unplated, I will also be exceedingly happy if I can dig up some nice white gold like Amberjack did. I view this ring as a fluke shot; my real target is natural deposits of gold. It's been a manic Monday at work and I've got an hour or so before the sun sinks into the sea. Time for a few quick swings with this little wonder before dinner!
