A beautiful blessing without asking...

My son found a dog yesterday and brought it home. You could tell this dog was well cared for, and not a stray. "We need to try and find out if it is missing", we said. Of course he hoped it was just a stray. As it turned out, fliers propagated in that neighborhood of a missing dog, and pictures that fit it to a tee. We pulled one of the fliers and called to inform we think we have their pet. They seemed so excited and we agreed to meet them at a store near that neighborhood. When they arrived, they saw their dog and converged on our vehicle like commandos. Soon another car arrived, the owners mother. They were so distraught over loosing their family pet, tears of joy were streaming. Not once did we expect such a response. The young lady insisted on a reward and placed a paper item in Carol's door panel. Carol kept trying to give it back, but each time the young lady covered the panel and refused to take it back. This went on for a number of times, until Carol gave up. But that was not the blessing. It was the tears of joy, the hugs and kisses, the firm hand shakes of gratitude. This continued for quite a while. Seldom have we seen such gratefulness, love and happiness as we witnessed today. Carol, nor I, could ever dig a coin, a jewel, a relic that would give us more joy, than what we saw today. I only wish my son could have seen it, and We could have shared it with all of you. They told us we had a blessing coming. Today........

Blessing recieved

Thanks for sharing with us. Seems like not many people are thankful for anything anymore.

Motive free goodness is always rewarded......God Bless.......Dan

What blessings there were for your family and their family to have their loving dog returned to the rightful owners! Pets are like an extended family members and their loss can sure be heartbreaking! I know because I lost my cat, Toni, in 1997 by death and cried deeply in my soul for losing my precious pet! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty
