A beautiful lady walked into my life today!

I hit the old farm again today after 5 hours of digging trash with not even ONE wheat penny to show for it I was tired, irritated and ready to go home. I was digging everything, all non ferrous signals and all large iron that possibly would have been masking a good target.

I was getting ready to give up and decided to take one more trip thru the front yard. And I got a good signal but it read 46 on my x-70 normally that is large iron, I have dug plenty of it believe me. But it was a solid signal so I cut the plug, flipped it back and rechecked then the signal was a solid 44, which is a lot better that is also the signal for a half dollar. I thought to myself this has to be some deep junk again, there is NO coins in this yard, not even wheats., no way it could be a half dollar.

well sure enough 5-6 inches down out walked this beautiful lady a 1916D............a semi key date to make it even sweeter. I think I paid my dues on all the trash I dug out of this place.....lol

Not sure where all the coins at this place are, a total of 7 hours here now and the crotal bell and half is all I can manage from here. Whoever lived here must have been real tight with his money.

I agree to, because a lot of people only show the goodies, and beginners to the hobby might get discouraged. You have to dig junk to get the goods!

how many people nation wide dont dig targets because they aren't in the "perfect" range. What a great find for you. You deserved a goody after all the trash dug. steve in so az

this year I have dug so much trash it is unreal, but I am on a quest for gold, none yet, but I have the peace of mind I am not walking over it, possibly leaving it in the ground ASSUMING it is trash and not gold or a nickel.

This has greatly increased my nickel finds, including 2 buffalos and 4 v nickels this season, no gold yet, but the way I dig the low conductivity signals, it is bound to happen anytime. I get surprised sometimes when I dig those iffy signals. I am just too curious to leave it in the ground...lol

Nice find Terry. Your posts of the good and the not so good are always an inspiration to me. Keep showing the stuff you find. Sometimes when I am tempted to not dig a target just because it shows tab or iron, I think of the goods you have pulled out of the ground and you always digging the signal.

all the coins are at 12 inches.....lol.

Congrats on the Silver Half-Dollar! After all that digging with finding mostly trash, the Lord blessed and lifted up your spirit with a very nice coin! :clapping: God Bless! Betty

Dude what a nice coin! I really love that bell! :)
