Thanks to Mitch, Jim and Richard! I had some luck on my second time out with the new Explorer. I used info from all of you. Found my second barber dime and my first indian head, both 1906 at no less than 8 inches. I used Richard's beginner screen. 32 auto,gain 10, deep and fast. I did this in the advanced digital screen and looked for targets that read 28. Also, slowed my sweep down and when I got over a repeatable target I moved just an inch or two over it to make sure it sounded good. It worked and I sure did gain a lot of confidence.
