A Bit of Victorian Silver

Erik in NJ

New member
My first "O" mint mark on the Barber. Large cent is 1949 with a counter-strike in the shape of a triangle with "RAM" on bottom and a number on top (store card or tool tag???), still soaking in hydrogen peroxide, token from a long ago removed trolley line (my 4th), Colonial button, religeous medal, and more yet to be displayed later. Thought I'd show the silver from the day first. Also a silver plated Lover's Spoon bearing the likeness of Cupid yet to be displayed. Colonial or pre-colonial pewter spoon handle......all found with capri_auto yesterday!

That sterling salt shaker is a really cool find!!

You've got a great spot there to hunt...lots of great relics and coinage.

Keep them coming, Erik!!

This site has sure given up an amazing array of finds so far. Thanks for your comments. The complete salt shaker is about 1-1/4" high and bottom about the circumference of a quarter. It was quite deep. The crushed salt shaker top looks older and is more ornate. Any ideas on what the other thing is??? I thought maybe a decorative edge for something, but it's angled at greater than 90 degrees. Pretty though.
