I acquired this old hub from an Indian artifact hunter that I like to talk and socialize w/ on the weekends. The hub was recovered from the Creek at Bentonville Civil War battlefield many years ago by Dr. Underwood a well known Archaeologist from this area. Im currently waiting for a phonecall from him to give me the full story on this find. Also We are supposed to discuss His looking for a relic and artifact digging partner as hes wanting to organize a club in the area. Im real excited about this as all finds will be kept by the finder no matter the value the only stipulations are that all finds have to be recorded and documented. Cant wait! Ive included a photo of some of my pet rocks.

A great collection of arrow heads..:clapping:

I live in arrowhead central and I've never dug one nor have I ever found one hiking or walking but I do have a very recent arrowhead story.

There is this one piece of property that runs along a river and it has the reputation of being loaded with arrowheads. Hunters have come there for years looking and digging. My pal owns a house that borders on this property which recently sold to a very rich man. Net worth of around 600 million. He has bought up much of the undeveloped waterfront property around. For a few years he allowed arrowhead hunters to continue looking and he's allowed my pal to use his land for his duck blind. Hunters have been using this land to hunt duck for 100 years. So a few weeks ago some guy sneaks onto the land with a small excavator and proceeds to remove half a hill presumably looking for arrowheads. He also dug about 100 test holes about the size and depth of a grave and of course never filled anything back in. Nobody knows who did it but the land is now posted and I understand it's about to be fenced and now nobody will be allowed to use it. My pal said when he was a kid you could find 10 or 20 complete arrowheads in a hour walking around after a heavy rain. He used to sell them to a store for a dime or a quarter a piece.
