A couple firsts and a Fathers Day hunt!

I'll start with the Fathers day hunt! My son had a gift to give me , and, he new I liked to metal detect ,so, he decided to bury my gift in the back yard!! He just had to make it difficult didn't he?:help: While trying to find this gift, I just happened to find a 1951 rosie!! Couldn't believe it! I knew this wasn't it cause there wasn't any plug to be seen. After a few minutes I finally saw the outlines of a plug! Sure enough it gave a LOUD 46 on the screen! Turns out to be a 1989 silver dollar!!:clapping: At least I now know what it will sound like when I find one on my own. Now for my firsts. I was hunting at the place where I found my pocket spill a few weeks ago. A short hunt a few days ago netted me a 1944 merc and a few wheaties! And the hunt last night produced my first silver quarter(S)!! The feet were dancin ! Even tho the standing liberty is a no date I don't really care. That was my first one ! The second one is a 1942 Washington. I also found a few more wheaties and a 1940 Nickel! Love this hobby! Enjoy!! HH JB

Nice group of finds. Always nice to find silver. Those Standing quarters, date showing or not, are beautiful coins!!! And what a surprise it must have been to dig that BIG silver dollar. Must be a great son! There isn't a single US coin that will read more conductive than that one did! (unless they are right on the surface) Good huntin'. HH Randy
