A couple of finds from this past weekend

This is an area that has just been cleared for some new houses just outside Richmond. Finds were scarce but I did manage a Sharps bullet and 2 flat buttons, one that still has a glint on gold on the back. The gold is completely gone from the top of the button but the Scovills & Co. back mark indicates probable manufacture between 1840-1850.

Also really enjoyed looking at the pictures too. Always nice to se photos from elsewhere. Gives us an idea of where people go to detect, and how enterprising us detectorist can be. Thanks for sharing.
