Friday was a banner day. Besides being a perfect spring day weather-wise, practically every target I dug was a goodie and there were lots of them.
I went to a park that I started hunting in late February. The area around the park is all new developments, stores and houses built within the last 10 years. The park's bathrooms and picnic areas are all new too. But I've had a hunch that the main playing fields are much older. They don't seem to have been hunted much, if at all.
First #1: 1959 silver Rosie. My first silver coin find since 1986. I know silver coin finds are pretty routine for some of the posters on this forum, but it's a big deal to me as I hunt new parks almost exclusively (that's what's easily available in my limited hunting time). I had a hiatus of no metal detecting from 1992 to 2010, so that's one reason for the old coin drought.

First #2: Ring spill. Two silver rings within six inches horizontal of each other, four inches down. A quarter and penny were with them.

Also found this sterling silver/silver plate combo lacrosse earring.

And found a mood ring and 61 modern coins, 19 of them quarters, all in 3 hours 45 minutes. One of my first finds here in February was a 14k gold wedding band. Man, I like this place.
