A Few After-work Relic Digs

I hit a field near where I work in Suffolk, Virginia...my old stand-by bullet and button field. Running stock coil, sens at 28, nearly wide-open screen...switching to Digital to check numbers, IM off. These babies were all deep and faint-but-good signals. And definitely missed by several other machines. The field is so clean I was able to run as set above with a fairly moderate sweep and still keep my threshold...even with Fast off.

The flat button says "Extra Superfine" and "Waterbury" on it...can't make out the rest...

Edited due to I forgot the picture...doh! :)

Mike,

I live in Va Bch and spend alot of time in the Petersburg area relic hunting. I have a tejon, xl pro and a explorer II. I just picked up the explorer II in May and am slowly making it my main machine. If you ever need a hunting partner let me know, my good friend Dave just moved to Northern VA and its not the same going alone.

I've hit Suffolk a couple of times, I have a 14 foot jon boat that I've used to get around to the more difficult area's. But I've been gone from the states since late May and get back on July 8th, and reading the forums is a hugh tease. I'll have to tell you about metal detecting in England sometime, found a 1420 King George II coin and the locals toss them in a hedge if they are too "grotty". I don't think coin wise the states will ever come close....

Thanks - Skip
