Took a little road trip yesterday to a park I'd been wanting to hit since I moved back within driving range. It's only a little over an hour drive from the house.
Took some great pictures of the old place but until I can hammer it pretty good ... well, I'll just wait on posting those shots
Nothing fantastic .. but for only 3 hours of scouting, hunting and talking with the locals I think this place shows promise.
First off I hit a spot that was loaded with clad, then as I walked towards a stream and started hitting wheaties, a war nickel, a merc, and then 2 rosies in the same hole and another war nickle.
The 2 washingtons were found on a walking trail about 20' apart and pretty shallow, maybe 3" deep.
This Franklin half was on the outside edge of some dirt that was pilled up and was 7-8" deep on edge when I dug it, had tar all over it but cleaned up nice.
Well that's it for now, hope all you fine folks have a GREAT THANKSGIVING
Good Hunting
