A few hunts...Gold and silver pendant and a pendant watch...

REVIER

Well-known member
Got out here and there the past few days, yesterday at 3 different sites a few cool things.
This pendant is marked 925 and has some other kind of mark on it also, pretty sure the rest of it is gold and the wife already claimed it.
This was found at a BBall court that I stopped at for just a few minutes on the way home.
I hunted here before, but like tot lots these sites reload so it might be time for the great 2014 BBall court tour and see what new things have been deposited for me to find since my last visits.

The pendant watch says Fieldston, Swiss Made and I believe is from the 60's because a 1965 Ford Galaxie ignition key and a few early 60's coins were also found near it.

The wheaties and the silver dime was found at my MD club meeting in the woods at a large park.
Found it about 5 minutes after I went into the woods and kept walking but got lost.
Thought I was going south but instead headed north and walked completely through these woods and came out the other side after heading for a road and the sounds of traffic.
I actually had to take off my socks and shoes and cross a small rocky stream to reach it, then discovered I was nowhere near the meeting site so had to walk about an hour the long way around and then up a very steep road up a small mountain to get back to it and missed most of the meeting.

Taught me a lesson...take a reading with the compass app I have on my phone before I get to far into the woods the next time I venture into a park site like this with about 1700 acres.

Good to know there are still some old coins in those woods, however, and I will return and see what else I can find in the future.
The scouts use this site, maybe I will find a working compass sometime...a misguided guy like me will put it to good use for sure.

very interesting, and nice finds. never thought to hit all the Bball courts around here.

Look up my posts about these courts on the forums.
I have talked about these a lot.
Next to beaches...no better site to find silver and gold jewelry on land than than these type of sites.
This is I think gold target # 10 or so I have found since I started hunting these things in ernest for about 3 years now.
Tons of silver rings and chains, too.

Gold is better, though.

Nice job Man!:clapping: On certain overcast days I cant tell direction very well..Good silver and medallion!
