A few meager finds today...

First place I looked was in the woods I like to wander near where an old fort used to be. That's where I found the big musketball and the thimble that had a ball button stuck inside it along with a pouch full of shotgun shells. Then I went to a park to try out my SEF 10x12 and dug probably my deepest nickel ever.
The war nickel was at least 8 inches maybe 9 inches deep! It was a solid signal too. I also found a couple of deep wheaties too. The coil is heavy but I think I'll keep it for shorter deep hunts.

Those nickels are something ive found you have to LOOK for with the Explorer... they dont come to you. I have to pay attention or i miss them especially after a long hunt. I like the finds... good hunt Neal.

They may be meager but they are still finds. I'm dying to get out again. On a stretch of 9 straight 10 hour shifts working. Can't wait to get swinging again.

I don't know of any between us. Still trying to learn Springfield, since i started hunting again. I will talk to Ashdigger and see if he knows any If not, I have no problem driving up by you. 75 miles is still nothing to me. Heck I have drove 4 times that to get beat by Bryce
