One day I will figure out how to use this camera. untill then I will keep hunting. good day today but it took me 8 hours to do it. The 1892O quarter was my first good coin of the day and the 1890 dime was 2 inches below a 1942 merc. 15 indians and only one good one(1869). The button is cool and the dog tag is 1920. The marble was in with a wheat cent. I checked the hole with the X-1 and it picked up the marble. Never had that happen but then I have never found a marble like this one. good hunting every one.

Nice Marble...Playing & collecting marbles...Man THAT brings back memories...Used to hate it when I'd loose a "shooter" now that's a game of "SKILL" LOL...Can't tell what it is from the photo though...Nice looking color....The rest of the "STUFF" is ok too..LOL Really good day, looks like to me...nice stuff

Good hunting Jimp, nice haul of coins there ~ and Tomtowns I remember playing marbles too, great memories eh!
When I played at elementary school, the kid who was the school champ had the biggest bag of marbles out of anyone...
And boy, the nerves when you had to play off with him in a challenge!
And when he whopped you, why he got to pick any one of your marbles that he fancied...
Usually your favourite one.

Might be where the saying "he's lost his marbles" came from...

Well Jim sure does have a hot spot, and I was invited but couldn't go. I've had to work every Saturday with the exception of a couple of times that I could go with them. I see my kids on Sundays so that's out too. At least I can drool over Jim's finds.

We found 3 seated dimes. All 3 were 1890's. Denny found 2, I found one. Denny got 2 barbers, 3 mercs. and a washington quarter. We went back sunday. I got my 400th silver for 2006( A 1902O barber dime). We are just scratching the suface of this place. Many more old ones to be found. if I had not changed jobs in may and still had the tree day weekends I would be well over 500 by now. Then again I did not hunt most of the summer. I really like to give the families their space in the parks. Happy hunting everyone. Jim P.

Very Nice Finds JimP. To find coins like that in a Park just tells you that you are very lucky to find that spot before someone else does and that if there is anyone else detecting it, they have either an inferior detector or just don't work the area's they detect like one should. Very Well Done! One Heck of a Haul. Hope you find a Nice Barber Half in that Park. Good Luck and HH.
