[attachment 198489 trip1.jpg] This is an aerial view of some of the flooding going on in the lower Mississippi valley area. No idea where we are at this time and it was shot from my window view.

[attachment 198490 trip2.jpg] Another view.

[attachment 198491 trip3b.jpg] Upstream pic of the old mill in Ozark.

[attachment 198492 trip4.jpg] Other side of bridge with spill way.

[attachment 198493 trip5.jpg] Canadian Geese in the park next to the river. I know they have a nasty reputation but they were neat to see for this Florida boy !

[attachment 198494 trip6.jpg] Daffodils were EVERY where! They won't grow in the heat of Florida but they were plentiful and beautiful !

there was water over the roadway on the old bridge by the mill. Water was over the road into the park for a couple of days. The area around Springfield/Ozark was lucky and only got 8 - 9 inches. There were some areas a little further south that got as much as 18".

We saw the area flooded down by the old mill. There was still debris stuck in the bushes by the river a good 6 feet up from where the water now flowed. We also crossed the bridge where the water had just made it up to a car dealership.....it was knocking at the front door. Really awesome to see but glad we missed it. Chuck Fugate is my brother-in-law and is the State Farm Insurance representative in Ozark. You are probably are familiar with his store front. We'll certainly be back and I'll make sure I take a detector next time. I did see one guy with a Head Hunter detector on the Finley River where everyone parties and hangs out. Chuck said that that stretch of river will drop to about a foot to 18 inches deep late in the summer. Lots of trash because of all of the camp outs and partiers in the area. See ya next time up.
