A few questions about the x-terra 705 gold pak

New member
Hi Guys,

Can someone help me out with some information ?

I 'm thing about buying a new x-terra 705 gold pak, but first I have a few questions.

1.-My first question is has anyone found gold yet using this detector?

2.How big was it and how deep down was it in the ground?

3.Also which coil did you find it with ?

4.The placer gold I'm finding is really small , most of the time half the size of a grain of rice most of the time :minelab:smaller, would this detector be a good choice for finding this size gold. And is able to ?

Thank you,
Rooster

If this is any help to you, I've found two gold rings with this detector, I have the 10x5 coil (Gold Pack). The two rings, one was found on the beach, it was 2 - 3 inches down in the wet sand and came in loud and clear with a reading of 18 (pull tab range), this ring is 10K and 6.8 grams (see 1st picture below).

The second gold ring, this was found at a tot lot, and this sucker was 4 - 6 inches down in wood chips, 24K yellow gold and 11.2 grams (2nd picture). It came in at 46 / 48 on the display, this is above the quarter reading of 42 / 44.

This detector will find gold, but you got to dig all targets to check to see what it is. This is also true for any other detector out there. Each detector has it's own sound when it hits on gold or silver, you have to tune your ears to hear this sound, 100% concentration.

It will see flakes .01 grams and above, the flakes will be less than an inch in the soil, but like I said, you got to pan / dig to confirm the find(s).

There are some vids on Youtube, watch them.

Also, the battery life on this detector, it's better than most of the detectors I've had. My rechargeable AA's (4), last well over 8 hours before I need to install a fresh set. 8 hours is plenty of time for a single hunt out.

Here are a couple posts in the FAQFAQ section that should answer your questions.....

Although the "weapon of choice" used in these posts was the X-TERRA 70, the advancements implemented in the X-TERRA 705 should provide even better results. JMHO HH Randy
