Hi all,
Been away for a few days, doing the family thing.but I thought I would answer a few querys re my previous post.
( To Rich(UTAH)....I may be wrong on the exact date but I believe our coins were high in silver content up until
1947,after that they really went downhill in my opinion.
(To Hoover)......The halfcrown in the photo is a 1934,out of 7 that I have found 3 are 1934,but they sure are a
cool coin and always make the hairs stand up on the back of my neck when I find one.
(To Digger).....Sorry I don't know much about skeleton keys, maybe they are a bit like a master key etc...
(To Furious T)......I always dig any positve signal ie 28-44.Also I have learnt to dig any of those "iffiy" signals'
the ones the detector is saying "Hey there is something down there but I'm not to sure what it is dig it up"
But generally any big coin like that comes in loud and clear (3
.It is the smaller coins I find hard to decipher
believe me I dig a heck of a lot of holes in a 3 hour digging session.
Also I may have mentioned before,I have only ever seen one other person around here with a detector
so I can take my time and know that anything I miss will still be there tomorrow.(or until my back gives out) lol.
I hope I didn't ramble on to much, all the best for the newyear to you all.....HH jim
