Hi Mr. Bill,
I truly love the used PI Pro I bought from you a few months back and now its time to upgrade.
Here are my questions regarding the Deepstar 3:
Is the Deepstar 3 waterproof?
Can I adjust the unit for shallow detecting only?
Can I use my rechargeable AAA batteries in the unit?
Is there a web site were I can download the owner

No the unit is not waterproof. It is designed for beach, careful shallow water hunting, and land use. It is quite weather proof.

They are ways with the adjustments to set it for shallower depths.
<STRONG>Can I use my rechargeable AAA batteries in the unit? </STRONG>The unit does not use AA cells. It uses 4/3 AF NiMH cells. They are re-chargable, and the unit comes with a charger.
