A few vacation finds

I love fall detecting! Best time of the year for me! NO SWEATING and less bugs(just those nasty ticks)! LoL..Well, its been a year since i purchased my X705, upgrading from my X30. I really do like my new machine and i think is it superior than than the X30 (though that machine was a great machine for me and i will never part with it) . I was on vacation all week and had some good quality time with the machine. I hunted all week with the 9inch 3kHz coil that i purchased back in July sometime. This was the first time i really got to use it for along period of time.I really like the 3kHz coil. I do believe it is a coin sucker after doing many tests with the stock coil and the 6dd coil in my test garden. Went back to many places i have already hunted with the X30 and was able to pick out a few more nice coins. Here are a few pics of some of the coins i found.First pic a walking half, second to mercs and third is a v nickle. Also found a nice 2 cent piece and about a half dozen IH cents, but i have them soaking in olive oil. Can't wait for the upcoming weekends. Have a lot of new places to go and permission from private property owners to go and detect them! I'm siked! Thanks Tom B for you input on the 3kHz coil. I do like it a lot! Was little hard to handle at first, but i have got the hang of it(i hope) as of now! And Randy, thanks again for all of your unselfish information. I might not post as often as i probably should, but i sure do read the board! Thanks all and happy hunting! Emmett

Good stuff. Glad to hear the 3 khz is working well for you. I swear, for me it has been (and continues to be) a silver killer! HH Randy

Nice, I like fall hunting too.

Jeff

Any day hunting is better than any day at work! Good job!

Yes Randy, same here on the killer silver sucker coil..It's going to stay on my machine, unless I'm in a very trashy area, then i will use the 6dd. Have had very good luck with the 6dd in overly trashy areas. Just gotta go very mega slow with it, And TJ, you are so right on your post! Rather have a bad day of hunting then a good day at work! LoL! Happy hunting all. Emmett

Congrats on your new silvers. I am considering purchasing the 9" 3Khz coil since you and others are saying that it is a silver killer. I have been hunting this park for the past year with a 10.5 DD 7.5Khz coil and have found 11 silvers but have had a sever drought lately. My mineralization is fairly moderate. Would you suggest that I may have more luck in finding silvers with the 9" 3Khz?
Thanks
Chuckciao
