part 2

If that was a copperhead,,,you are lucky.

Piece of advice,,,before you knell to dig and recover targets,,,,walk around the perimeter of target location.

A neck bite by a copperhead could prove fatal,,,and a rattler,,neck bite almost certain death.

it was a copper head no doubt about it I got a very good look at it when it slowed down to go into the bush.

Good way for your partner to get a free Deus, all he does is throw his down beside you before the morg comes to get ya.......LOL

Man you need to watch out for sure......

Go to church and thank the Lord!

I would need new boxers after that.

Jim

Did you "See snakes everywhere" after that?

A copperhead should register somewhere in the 80's I would think...

Where there's one there is another.
Got to keep on the lookout for them guys for sure.
We have rattlers where I hunt.
My buddy told me that the hum from the detector scared them off.
I said bull and you just proved it!!!
I always watch for snakes when out.
You are one lucky guy. And not just the great finds you make.
I,d wish you luck, but you done had it!

we got rattlers too my brother in law got a giant cane brake rattler last year it was in his corn pile for the deer.

Man good thing on part 2 you didn't get hit by that snake. God made some nasty critters.

my heart is still racing... what fantastic camouflage! I couldn't see it until it moved. SO CLOSE to you especially when you are squatting! You are a lucky dude Calabash..

Yeah he is lucky the snake wasn't pissed off. No one wants to get fanged by a snake. You can really take a turn for the worse very quickly. And he got his find I would have taken off for the hills and never turned back

I grew up in the South and know how well they can blend in with the ground cover. We only have harmless garter snakes in the area I live in now. I had to show my wife this video. She's deathly afraid of snakes and she was cringing and covering her eyes and repeatedly asking did he get bit, did he get bit?

Man I hunt in the thickest S. Texas brush and prickly pear and it's a matter of time before I run into one. Gotta pay real attention.

it was close then the next time I went there I walked up on another one and he was dre3w back to strike me when I saw him and on the way out my hunting partner almost stepped on one and he killed it with his long shovel. Man its infested with copperheads but there are good relics there too.

Glad we don't have poisonous snakes up here. Damn sure did back in Louisiana though. We used to have to kill every one we saw just to keep the population thinned out.
