A Frenchman, a Brazilian and a Chinaman

Sat down under a tree and had lunch. At least thats my story about how the coins got there. Took the V out this weekend, today I used the stock 9x8 and found a 1966 one franc, a 1967 brazilian 10 centavos, and I dont read chinese so cant tell you what the last coin is. All within 3 feet of each other, just like 3 people sat down together and lost a coin.
Found a bunch of wheats and a pocket full of clad this weekend, I like it when there is no snow.
Tell you what, I sure wish I hadn't left the house without the 5.75. I know there is a place for the 9x8, and apparently its in storage in my basement.

Bill,
Were you in a school yard? I've found similar in middle and elementary schools. Always thought it was the result of a show and tell day.
I like the picnic story though!

Hi TVR,
No not in a school. The area is in a very diverse part of the city, somewhat depressed and has a large mix of different nationaities. I thought it was funny to find these coins so close together, and you are mire than likely right, they were probably lost by one of the neighborhood kids.
I work for the city water department. These were at one of our well stations that have a very large yard. Big enough that we have signs prohibiting golf in the yard.
This station was put in in 1947, but I found no old coins. The plant I work out of was built in 1895, I intend to work the yards for at least the next 10 years.

Hope you find some older coins on the plant grounds. And hope there isn't too much iron junk!
