Guys and Gals, a friend of mine who lives in Montana and travels occasionally to Mexico asked me which metal detector he should buy, taking into account the following:
Lives in Montana, wants a land water-machine, good for fresh water and salt, easy to travel size wise and willing to pay up to $700. He mentioned Garret had a "Surf Machine" that was both land and water capability, what brand and model would you recommend and why?
I would appreciate your input, you guys haven't steered me wrong yet.:detecting:

Tesoro Tiger Shark will do both water and land .
Salt water I'm not sure as I detect fresh water.
I'm in the process of acquiring one and like the reports on its uses.
I also use Whites BHID and have used it in soccer fields with good results and with water hunting also
I also use the Detector Pro Wader good on beaches and Water proof to 6 feet.
These all have motion pin pointing.so a pin pointer would be an asset on land.
