A friend of mine dug this in an old hunted out park in town. He uses the XSII. The poke was 2' off the main entrance.

and lets us know a park is never really 'hunted out'.
Thanks for the post.

I have yet to find a Coin Purse with Old Coins in it. I have only found 1 Coin Purse and it only had 1970's Coinage in it. That is something that he will never forget and will keep him going back for more at that Park. Congrats on a great find and Good Luck and HH.:detecting:

What an awesome find! Curious how that would have sounded? All scatted and broken up? Or solid and loud? Seems like the iron and nickel would have broken that up.

My wife got one in Casselton at the race track with a seated dime a 2 cent piece and 2 IH pennies if i remember right.
With this one that was found I bet it sounded like trash, or everyone thought it was as the believe the ID too much is why it was missed for so long. With the Explorer in that park in West Fargo I got a loud signal and it read down from the top right and in to the left about a half inch, or where some odd trash will read. Dug 2 merc dimes a barber dime, a buffalo nickle and a rusty bottle cap all 3-4 inches deep and I will bet others thought it was trash is why it was still there. Maybe this is why I dig so much trash and get so many odd finds that are good.
