A Gold Scan 5 has just landed in Virginia

An guess what? Raining cats and dogs. Guess I better read the manual first, then off to the relic fields and beach.

Well the "Surf Pirates" must have been sleeping but the old Buttondigger was creeping around Va. Beach. The ocean was angry and the tide was high so I hunted at the high tide line. I set the GS5 at half sensitivity, tx mid range , pulse width mid range, disc mode. mono coil. Coins came in low tone, ring high tone. All
targets loud and clear. The detector was noisy on the black sand deposits brought in by the tide even at half sensitivity. I will try a DD coil next hunt. I found gold, thats the ticket!
