Hit my first gold with the Omega this afternoon, a 10k class ring. I've been hunting a spot for an hour or so each afternoon that had a outdoors festival on it last weekend and picking up quite a few quarters (33 so far) and a few other clad coins. For the most part, I have been just listening for the high tone and for mainly the fresh drops. The ground is brick hard dry so I don't even try to dig on this site right now. Anyway, today I started watching the screen a little more on shallow sounding mid tone hits and did recover a couple of freshly dropped nickels. One of the nickel readings, 57-58, turned out to be a mens 10k class ring that was nestled down in some thick grass. I did shoot a couple of pictures of the ring and if I can figure out how to post pictures, I'll do so over the next few days. I got a new Apple computer and with my first training class session about what all it will do, I am going to see if I can learn how to post pictures for the forums. HH jim tn
