Well sports fans, another exciting fun filled day of walking miles to get to my favorite hunting spot paid off with a little more gold. Heart shaped pendant 0.5 grams 14k was a nice surface find, yep that's right found it walking, also found about 5 bucks in change some here around 60 coins, 3 junk neckless, 3 junk earrings, 5 junk rings (1 nicer stainless one), a bank card, set of Chevy keys, tons of pulltabs. It was a nice day, sure made the 1.5 mile one way walk worth the effort. The F70 is a solid performer at these settings for me, disc 15, thres 0, DE, I use 4h tones, I always have since the f5 I just like the high tone for Nickles. The spring weather is really nice right now, and I have had a super blessed month with 3 pieces of gold to my name. Can't wait to get back out there I really nailed down an awesome hot spot, going to hunt it hard! To bad I have to work, kinda cuts into my free time.

Yeah! Great Hunting and post! :clapping: Gold is worth the walk, and sometimes thats what it takes, you young buckaroos have to hike into areas that us old guys cant! :clapping:

Regarding WORK...now a days its often an unprofitable and temporary nuisance! If you got a good job and a good boss, and you still have time to hunt, count yourself very blessed indeed! (which I know you do)
I'm my own boss now, but unfortunately, I'm a real @ss, and my only employee (me) is a tosspot and a slacker!..:buds:...one of these days I think I'll up and fire myself for showing up late or drinking on the job! Then, I should be able to hunt all I want, and maybe live out in your garage?:heh: You keep that gram total climbing! You are doing pretty good!

Nice hunt!! Thank you for including your settings in the post! Gold and quota in the same day, doesn't get any better.

I have been researching satellite pics and talking to the locals, I believe that I am really on to something with this spot. My next trip(s) will be spent with much more discipline on my part, hunting hard and methodical like I know how, and I know works for me. So hopefully I can pull some really nice finds from this beach before the summer heat really kicks in and I cant spend much time outdoors. Lately my settings haven't changed much, I pushed the F70 a little at the first of the year from the very relaxed settings of disc 15, sens 55-60, thres -3, to the ones I am running now. I done this because I didn't want to miss any deep targets, so I set out to find the best, somewhat stable settings I could find, and so far these are them. Now, with that being said I can run "hotter" sometimes just depends on the dirt.

Geez you young guys! If I had to walk a mile and 1/2 to get to the site I probably would get a motel room to take a nap before the hunt. That is some good detecting. I have tried running higher setting on the Sens. But it still comes down to almost all my finds are from 1"-5". So I just relax and enjoy the peaceful hunts.... Happy Trails....Z

Well if we had a boat to use, then the walk would be zero, and we are trying to find one to borrow or purchase for use. So that we can spend more time hunting and less time walking, I admit that's a long darn day, and a long walk, but the targets are so rich on this area, I feel its worth it.
