Another Monday down the tubes - and another fun hunt by the river! Have been really busy lately and just now getting to post some pics....
Used the relic program again, and the EMI made its presence known shortly after getting started. I found myself toggling between this and the other 4kHz program - I tried using 8 kHz at one point and it was worsely affected by the EMI. I wonder if it's certain people who are using the jogging trail while using Fitbits, phones, etc. There's also the interstate not too far away - maybe certain cars emit electrical noise from ignition systems or the like.....
Hunted a total of 5 hours and pulled the usual suspects - all of the old coins came from 8-9" deep including a rogue clad dime that fooled us both! Pulled another pile of aluminum, and I remember two coins having a beavertail and a nail co-located - the 1915 D Wheat and the 1901 Indian were hardly detectable with the trash in the way. I just wonder how many more coins are hiding in this manner - in the last 3 hunts I can remember digging at least 5 coins similarly.
This coming Monday I'm going full bore and hunting for 10-12 hours total. It's time again to push myself to the limits, and the weather is supposed to be 60 degrees and sunny! Can't wait!
