A little silver...

REVIER

Still looking for my first gold of 2014, I think I over did it finding 12 last year, but I am due.
I say that every time I go to a casino, too.
I was at an old park where there could be some but it is huge and older coins were my target on this hunt, anyway.
None of those this trip either, but I did come across this hollow silver earring so that was cool.
Luckily I had my $2.99 HF loupe with me because I would have never found the 925 mark on this thing with these old eyes.
Even younger eyes might not have helped...this is the smallest mark I have ever seen on any piece of jewelry I have found so far and it was somehow stamped into the tiny bar.

Also found a couple of junk rings, the key with the diaper pin, that carabiner with a knife so that was different and neat, and the clad is always nice to help with battery and gas costs.

We had a storm the day before so the soil was perfect and the digging was a pleasure, plus it was a beautiful cool and sunny day.
Who would ever want to have a hobby you had to do indoors an a glorious day like this?
Not me!

nice pieces. i agree on our hobby. cant be inside on beautiful spring days, congrats and HH

12 gold rings in one year , thats incredible , I think i have found one in 7 years, but then not a lot of beach goes in the farm fields & woods, and i don't think the hunter had rings or even coins nice silver , any of that is good

I never found more than 6 in one year before, and that only happened once.
I found 3 by March of last year and set that crazy goal of 12, on December 3rd much to my surprise I actually hit it.
This year I had way less hunting time due to the crazy longer winter season, and I am now hunting sites more often with less chances to find jewelry so I am way behind last year's pace.
If I come across one gold ring spill that should bring my average up, though.
Could happen, I buy lottery tickets every week too so, yea, I am quite the dreamer sometimes.
Or maybe I just drink too much. :drinking:

Great hunting and nice pics on that tiny mark!:clapping: Yeah, late start this year...gotta make up for it in volume or something!:beers:

Do you guys keep a journal or do you just have good memories? I can't remember what I had for dinner last night  BTW nice work Revier

had a good hunt, many coins and silver earring covers part of jewelry. I never saw a carabiner with knife.
If you do not have good memory as I make a file folder with photos of each hunt, place, date and apparatus and goodbye to alzeimer
