A night hunt

Got to the regular beach just before midnight, December 31st. We (Ken and Riki too) were just in time to watch some new year fireworks people were letting off. Looked like someone accidentally dropped a match in the entire box because there were fireworks shooting all over the place at an alarming rate. Police arrived soon after and things got quiet.

There was a minus tide so I had high hopes on the rings and jewelry front. But that wasn't to be, most targets were still up near the high tide line. Down by the water was very soft. Stayed until 3am. Good experience had by all.

I did manage a small silver ring (sitting in a junk one in the pic). So, that is number one for 2006. :)
