A potential violent situation at work-And Im right in the middle of it-NEED PRAYERS for this situation......LONG,LONG....

warthog

New member
I have been working with a man at work this week on 1st that Ive worked with on and off for the last 20 years there. He is a Christian-At least he says he is-For years he has had problems at work with anger-Not getting his own way,he gets mad-Nobody wanting to listen to him about Christian things,he gets mad:If ANYBODY has a difference of opinion from his on ANYTHING UNDER THE SUN,everybody's out to make him a laughing-stock,and make him look bad. This week,he's been getting worse....We have an African-American Christian working with us,and this man has been relieving us for breaks-The man with anger problems assumed he was giving us short breaks, and he referred to the percieved situation-QUITE LOUDLY-"THATS A n-----FOR YA!!"I told him DONT put that label on it,cause there are useless people in ALL walks of life, and to say that is NOT RIGHT!!...This is a man I have heard tell him"I love ya,BROTHER"!!!-Another man we have been working with told me that yesterday this guy-I will refer to him as K.-told him a story about a Christian man that worked in a union shop and was made fun of and misunderstood;and returned to work with a loaded weapon and started"killing everyone he found there"....:(..TO TOP IT ALL OFF;we were working with K.yesterday changing a machine over;and the foreman(whom has been a GOOD FRIEND of mine for the past 21+years I have been there) reminded K.that this machine has to be ready to go for tomorrow's production-K.climbed out of the machine which I was still in;and started SCREAMING FOUR LETTER WORDS:ranting:at the foreman about being over-worked(The foreman's a Christian;too). The foreman put his hand on K.s shoulder and told him to chill out;and K.responded with"IM ONLY GONNA WARN YA ONCE:KEEP YER F------ HANDS OFF ME!!!"....This foreman-whom Ive only seen angry a time or 2-told him END OF STORY!!!-and walked away.TODAY,they suspended him-I was called in to an investigation by managment and Union reps as to what I heard-I was asked about the "N"-word conversation;and if I heard it-I told everybody there"We all know about what the Bible says about bearing false witness- AND;if I was to tell you I did not hear the talk regarding the "N" word;I would be lying...SO:YES",I told them-"I DID HEAR that conversation regarding the "N"word",and I told them what I said regarding my answer on it.The other 2 related above was told to me by the man that we were working with;and I told them I could NOT say I heard them from K.;only second-hand from the man that was there.Do I feel like I was put on the spot?NOT REALLY-the WORD tells us when we are called to testify in any case;we are to tell the truth;no matter what the cost.K.could very well have lost his job over this-He's married, with 5 kids.IM SERIOUSLY CONCERNED that this man is losing his sanity.Ive got the feeling I may just be called into court over this-IF I AM;and I am asked about the N word incident,I WILL NOT testify any different, even though K.will be sitting there;looking at me.I am sure if it comes to that,he will hate my guts, and blame me for his families' misfortune-BUT,THE TRUTH IS THE TRUTH,and it shall be told.PLEASE,prayers for K,;me,and all my co-workers,and K's family-Thanks,Steve.

Praying for strength, understanding and peace for all.

You hang in there we are praying for you. GOD is an awesome GOD, he will watch over you.

Warthog--Keep focused on God. This man is being influenced by satan. Alot of people claim to be Christians, but we are known by our works. We will be praying for you and your co-workers. We will also be praying for this man, that he would truly come to know Christ. Be careful and be on the lookout. Workplace violence is on the rise, especially with the economy the way it is.

Prayers for peace, comfort in this situation! This man sounds like he is under stress something terrible or is on drugs! I hope for the family's sake that he comes to his senses and apologiizes to everyone he has offended and attends some anger management programs to help him control his anger whether tired, overworked or stressed! Remember, WG Steve, to pray about it and don't borrow trouble of his suing when you don't even know he will do that! He will cool down when he gets some needed rest and things maybe are more peaceful at home! After praying, give it to God in Jesus' name and don't worry nor fret about it, as He will take care of it! Pray for him and the others workers, too!

Times are very distressful and anything could cause a person to flare up and explode, unless they really know Jesus and that He is their Comforter and All in all! God Bless! Betty

You do what is right. Prayers for all involved!

I've been there. Over the years I've had to let a couple of people go (through arbitration). One of them was really off the charts. Like your guy, REALLY scary.
However, before that happened I was able to get him psychiatric help (because I warned everyone that he was dangerous); they got him on meds and he was better but still never came to work.

You're doing the right thing. Maybe he'll get the help he needs and still be able to keep his job.

Well Pray -- He maybe a Christian . But doesn't know spirit he's listening too -- I ask everyone here to pray for the spirit to be removed in Jesus name -- Graw

this guy has some problems at home or something like drugs or mental/physical problems happening. they should try and help him if he will accept help. hope he is not abusive at home also. as for you.... sounds like you are doing exactly what you should. will pray for him and his family and for you to do gods will.

I will be praying for wisdom to prevail in this situation. Be safe. For your sake and your family's.

Hope you enjoy the forum. Where are you from?

God bless.

Mike

Hi Mike,
I live in Coldwater, Kansas. Just South of Greensburg. Thanks for the welcome.
Dave

Dave--Welcome to the forum. It is a great place. Great people, Great Christians. Glad you joined us. Wasn't Greensburg the place that was wiped out by the tornado? How did you fare?
Again, welcome.

Warthog--We are still praying. You are doing the right thing. Stay true to Gods' Word, and He will see you through.

..Taken drugs in the past-I also understand his home life is BAD,too-Has 5 kids;wife is always screaming at him for one reason or another....Not much money to live on,either....His home life is probly the cause-I have to tell the union chairman tomorrow if he just comes back after a few days off;it will probably make him worse,'cause of the loss of income.

And she is probably screaming at him because of his attitude....works both ways which makes it worse and worse for them to live happily and get along! Sure am and will be praying for the work situation and for him, his wife and children! God makes the change by him and his family submitting to His will and way in Jesus' holy name! Trials make us better or more bitter! Hope God touches their hearts by sending the laborers to them for their hearing the truth of the Gospel of Jesus that they need to answer God's Holy Spirit's calling! God Bless you, Steve, and all the people where you work and may peace be among you all for better working conditions by laboring for the Lord and the work place! Amen! God Bless! Betty

Warthog--Praying for this man and his family. God can bring complete victory to this whole family. God may even open a door for you to be the one who shares Jesus with him. Wouldn't it be great if he came to you and you were able to lead him and his family to Christ. Miracles do happen. Keep holding to the faith.
