The LTD sniffed out more quarters today then is usually the norm on this site and a couple were of the more coveted varieties. These were my first good silvers for this new year, although the Omega did get me 2 war nickels and a Buffalo a couple of days ago. I had decided to hunt the fringe/outside area's of the woods this morning not venturing to far off the paths and trails. The no date S L came early in my hunt, so early on I was assured of having a silver hunt. She was about 4" and a nice lock on 83-84 reading. The 1900 Barber came towards the end of the hunt and was a foot or so off to the side of a trail directly behind a small tree and under an adjacent low hanging shrub of sorts. This one bounced a bit from 83 to 86, but appeared to be at least partially on edge at about 5" deep. I didn't dig many low numbers this morning, but still managed 2 pieces of old lead. For woods/bush hunting, the LTD/SE with its B P mode makes a difference when on can't get the coil close to the ground, which is frequently the case with woods hunting. LTD with 11" coil, B P mode, sen 90, disc 0, 4h tones and g b of 63-65. HH jim tn
