a question on the value of a coin.........

warthog

New member
....I found this coin in my home town a few years ago, when the sidewalks were being ripped up and replaced:an 1854 Seated Liberty Quarter, with Arrows at the date.I would say, graded Good.WHAT WOULD IT BE WORTH-That is,if somebody in the past had not turned it into a LOVE TOKEN on the obverse??I thought I had a REAL find, until I turned it over, and found a fluer de lis, along with a G.L.engraved in it.GOOD LUCK??For someone that carried it thru the CIVIL WAR???Un-Forutnately,I do not have a digital camera, and can post no pics.Steve..........

In good it is worth around $25. Probably worth a little more made into the good luck piece?

Nice find, Steve, and I sure hope it brought good luck to the person carrying it during the Civil War and later! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty
